I'm Ayo, and I like making things people actually use

Honestly, I started out trying to learn development. Lasted about two weeks before I gave up, code just wasn't clicking the way I wanted it to. Design felt different though, there was more room to explore, and I fell hard for it almost immediately. I think it's the colors if I'm being honest, I could spend way too long just picking a palette.

I got into it because I liked the idea that I could just draw something and watch it come to life. That fascination never really left, I kept designing and designing, and eventually it spilled into websites too. I'd imagine something a little ridiculous, open Figma to design it, then move over to Framer to actually build it out.

Most of my career's been shaped by working with some genuinely insanely creative studios, the kind of places that push you to get better just by being around them (I hope you can tell lol.)

That's honestly the same reason I started making Framer templates too. I didn't want these unhinged ideas dying quietly in a Figma file, I needed people to actually see it.

These days Claude's in the mix as well, and the dev thing I gave up on finally caught up with me. I can bring most of what I design to life with code now, this site's an example, plus build little tools I need for my explorations and day to day work. Feels like I keep finding new stones in the gauntlet. (IYKYK)
